I hear the question all of the time when people see my yellow lens gaming glasses next to my computer or my Xbox 360. Are those gaming glasses? I proceed to answer yes, and explain more about them.

Gaming glasses may make some people look more fashionable and some gaming glasses look very odd on people. Most people want to know, what do gaming glasses do?

Gaming glasses have special technology built into the lens that help hydrate your eyes. Depending on the model and color of your lens, they warm up the colors of your screen preventing eyestrain.

There is one thing to consider. Purchasing a pair of gaming glasses will not make you a better gamer. They will however give you a slight edge in certain aspects. Less eyestrain allows you to game longer. The longer you game, the better you may become.

You may also notice that without gaming glasses your eyes are bloodshot red. This is a bad look to have and bloodshot eyes lead to blurry vision, dry and irritated eyes, and headaches. Not only that, overtime your vision will decrease if your starring at computer screens or TVs all day long.

Overall, gaming glasses may not make you a better gamer, but they will help protect your eyes and allow you to play your games for longer periods of time. Currently Gunnar Optiks MLG Phantom are my number one choice for gaming glasses.
